Tournament Rules

1. No motors exceeding B.I.A. rating of boat

2. All entrants must wear approved life jackets while gas motor is running.

3. No alcoholic beverages at or during tournament.

4. Artificial bait only (Pork rinds allowed)

5. Only casting, spinning, or spin casting equipment allowed.

6. No trolling.

7. Working live wells required.

8. Kill switches must be used while gas motor is in operation.

9. No contestant may bet nearer than 50 yards from an anchored boat.  When anchored, trolling motor must be raised and in locked position.

10.                    Proof of $100,000 liability insurance required.

11.                    All rules interpretations or infractions shall be decided by the tournament committee and be final.

12.                    No fishing allowed inside the long walls at any lock and dam (upper or lower ends).

Scoring

1.  8oz. penalty will be assessed for each dead fish.

2.  Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass only

3.  Fish must be 12 inch minimum length on flat board, mouth closed, and any part of tail reaching the 12 inch mark. 

4.  1 pound penalty will be assessed for each short fish.

5.  6 fish per team.  Boater without a partner may weigh 6 fish.

6.  No more than 6 fish in livewell at any one time.  You must cull upon catching 7th fish.  No culling at ramp

7.  Anyone returning late will lose 1 pound per minute up to 5 minutes, then disqualified.

8.  Weight of biggest bass will break all ties.  If still tied, coin toss will decide.

9.  Tie breaker for big bass (total fish caught, if still tied competitors will decide coin toss for 50/50 split).

10.  All fish become property of the tournament committee

11.  Protests must be received no later than 15 minutes after scales are closed.  Must notify tournament director or committee member.

Upon completion of this form and payment, we agree to hold Mound City Bassmasters, the City of Moundsville, all sponsors, members and volunteers harmless for any injuries and/or damages which may occur before, during and after this tournament.  Participants must have proper liability insurance on their boats.
